Reader discussion

When you submit a comment, we store the display name, comment, article URL and submission date in Cloudflare D1. Comments passing verification and spam checks appear publicly without manual approval. Please do not submit confidential or personal information. Administrators can remove comments and associated votes.

Spam protection and votes

Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions. Cloudflare processes connection information to provide security and deliver the site. The application uses keyed hashes of network addresses for short-lived rate limits and load deduplication; it does not store raw IP addresses in its discussion database. Anti-abuse receipts carry a one-day expiry and are deleted during maintenance runs. Expired records can remain stored until the next maintenance run. Vote identifiers are keyed hashes retained with the comment to prevent duplicate votes from the same network. Shared networks may be treated as one voter.

Activity measurements

We retain aggregated per-article daily load counts and Cloudflare delivery statistics. These are not claims of unique visitors. Method changes and limitations are documented on the reader activity page. Browser settings may prevent a load being recorded.

Learning tools

Concept selections, scenario answers, visit progress, and problem-solver choices stay in memory in the current tab and are cleared on reload. They are not sent to an API or recorded as learner achievements. A downloaded checklist is generated locally from your fixed choices; it does not include account or device information. Existing article-load measurements apply separately when an article is opened.

Browser storage

Local storage remembers the selected theme and vote state. Session storage avoids resubmitting a load within 30 minutes. No advertising trackers are intentionally added by this site's own scripts. Embedded content and externally hosted images may contact their original providers.

Site administration

The private management area uses Cloudflare Access. Access processes your login information to authenticate authorized administrators. Management actions record the administrator, action, target ID and time. Operational automation logs are retained for 90 days. Private AI-assisted article drafts are stored in Cloudflare D1 and are not public until reviewed and published.

Retention and requests

Published comments and aggregate activity records are retained to support the discussion and publication record. Deleted comments and their votes are removed from the active database; recovery copies maintained by the platform may persist temporarily. To request removal or correction of a comment, contact [email protected] and include its article URL and display name. Do not include sensitive data.
